My hometown mission

I've been doing this grocery game for about 2.5 months now. I've found so many free or almost free items and our pantry is overflowing.

So I made a promise. Everything I get for free or less than $0.50 goes to the church.

You should see the boxes and bags I have to take there. Everything from toothbrushes, sanitary pads and deodorant to mac and cheese, (soon to have tuna), canned chicken, and canned soups. Why shouldn't we share our bounty?

I figure God is bringing these blessings into my house so I can use them to bless someone else. And we still have plenty.

Wednesday night at prayer meeting our pastor told us the pantry is getting low. What a shame on my part. I have this tool to teach others in the church. If 4 or 5 of us all do this, our pantry should never be low. The pastor should have to tell us to slow down the donations.

So, I'm working on a lesson to teach in the next couple of weeks (depending on the church calendar and my pregnancy...) and we can start making a difference just by doing this.

How simple.

What a blessing.

Who's with me?

What a generous spirit! Thanks for reminding me that all we have is because of God.
