Coupons for Military

Since I've not been able to get a specific family name and address, the best way to send coupons to a military base overseas is to go here and read through the program information.

My family is adopting Sasebo, Japan, USN, since my husband spent a few years in Okinawa (that base is closed for donations) and we really want to go back together some day.

Use the flat rate boxes/envelopes from the postal service to save a bit and always know what your postage will be. You can order boxes to be brought to your home so you can have them ready to go when you get to the post office. You'll have to fill out a customs form for sending overseas, but get the clerk to let you have several and you can save time at the PO by having them already filled out.

One thing: when you take the boxes/envelopes to the post office to mail do not seal them until you get there. Sometimes when you're sending overseas they will need to verify contents.
