Balloonatiks Review and Giveaway (CLOSED)

  

Off-the-Wall Zaniness, Bizarre Super Villains, Wild Sight-Gags and Over-the-Top Heroics...It's all here in this debut collector's edition BALLOONATIKS DVD!

That's the first line on the DVD case and boy is it right! The Balloonatiks are 5 ordinary teens who are transformed into balloon superheroes, given special "powers" and fight evel-doers that threaten Hot Air City. 

Balloonatiks: The Collector's Set includes two episodes, Meet Deflator and Pop Goes the Balloonatiks. The CGI animation is really well done and the music, by Ray Parker Jr. (of Ghostbusters fame), is really fun! Voice talents include Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Debi Derryberry (Jimmy Neutron) and Billy West (Fry on Futurama).

The episodes are well written and funny. My 3 year old really seemed to enjoy it a lot. I was a bit worried because Dr. Poppemoff (hilarious name!) calls someone an "idiot" and the latex monster roars a little scary, but thankfully Ry didn't catch either thing and didn't repeat what he heard. He was a little scared of Mr. Point (in the 2nd episode), but asked to watch it again, so I guess it's all okay now. I'm also not sure about the leak in the bottom, but Ry thought it was funny.
