If I Could Ask God Anything
By Kathryn Slattery
Book Info: Paperback, 207 pages
Publisher: Thomas Nelson, 2006
Description: “Clear, easy to understand answers to kids’ questions about God.” It “teaches eternal truths and reassures children that God cares for them and loves them” and “encourages them to embrace a personal relationship with God through faith in Jesus”.
Analysis: I like that the book is separated into sections, such as God, Jesus, The Church, The Bible, Prayer and Big Questions. It’s easy to find what you need if you’re asked a question to which you do not have the answer.
I sat down with my son, to whom we are trying to explain the concept of God. I asked him if he had any questions that he’d want to ask God. Being 3, he responded “Can I have another airplane?” Yep, not ready yet. But, I’m glad to have this resource for when he does start to ask questions.
I felt like a few of the answers were a bit over detailed, but that’s why it’s important to read through it before you need the answers for your kiddo.
