Yoplait Greek Yogurt Prize Pack Giveaway! (CLOSED)

I was thrilled to be selected through My Blog Spark to do a taste test and giveaway for new Yoplait Greek Yogurt. I've seen a lot about Greek yogurt lately and I've been wondering what the difference is between that and regular yogurt. I knew that it contained more protein, but that was all I knew.

I purchased a Strawberry for me and a Honey Vanilla for my husband to test. The consistency didn't bother me. It was thicker than regular yogurt, but that didn't matter much to me. The flavor of the strawberry was a bit sour for my taste. The honey vanilla had a much smoother flavor. I was bothered by the chalky feel in my mouth and the strange after taste. I was unable to finish my tub of strawberry, but I did take several bites out of the honey vanilla.

I think this type of yogurt will be better for cooking or blending into smoothies than eating straight out of the tub. I will purchase the plain next time I have a recipe which calls for yogurt, mainly because the protein content and the calcium content will make for a healthier ingredient. But, this will not replace my Yoplait Fiber One or my Yoplait Whips that I prefer.
